Cavalier Classic 2019

The Tennessee High School Mighty Viking Band (MVB) announced today that the band brought home numerous trophies from the Cavalier Classic Band Competition in Daleville, Va.  
 
The MVB competed in class 4A and won second-place for color guard, second-place drum major, second-place percussion, second-place music, second-place general effect, third-place marching, second-place music, and second in class 4A. In addition to all the first place trophies, MVB also took home the best band of the day award.
 
“I am extremely proud of our students and all their hard work leading up to this competition,” said Tennessee High Band Director David Semones. “Our band received a superior rating. The scores from the judges were great. We were only .7 points from winning band of the day.  Our band continues to improve each week.  We are looking forward to competing next week at Sullivan Central High School.”
