Aaron Hurley grew up in Johnson City, Tennessee where he earned his Bachelor’s of Music Performance Degree (ETSU) and his Instrumental Teaching Licensure through the Masters of Education Program at Milligan College. He has been serving the Tri-Cities region as a Brass Specialist since 2004.  His students (Trumpet, Horn, Trombone, Euphonium, and Tuba) have ranked high in All-East Clinic and many in All-state. Most of his student’s are interested in and have earned scholarships to help pay for college. Throughout Mr. Hurley’s professional career as a Private Instructor he has worked with over 20 area band directors in the forms of private teaching, sectional work, band camps, assisting with rehearsals, and judging. He currently sits as principle euphonium of the Johnson City Community Concert Band where he has held this position for over 10 years. He is also a member of the Brass Quintet – Selah Brass and is regularly invited to perform at area events such as at churches, Tuba Christmas, dedications, festivals, and fundraisers. His latest endeavor was a recording session with Soona Songs for a children’s CD.
