Jessica Amber Allison is a graduate of Patrick Henry High school in Glade Spring, Virginia, and is currently a student at East Tennessee State University pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in music, with a double concentration in music performance and instrumental education. She has been a member of the ETSU Lambda Mu Chapter of Kappa Kappa Psi, a national honorary band fraternity.  In this organization she has served as historian (2012), as well as the chapter’s president (2014). While at ETSU, Jessica has had the opportunity to perform with the ETSU wind ensemble, several chamber ensembles, and the collegium musicum-an early music chamber group.   In her pursuit to teach, she has helped many local school programs in both Tennessee and Southwest Virginia with starting and supplying double reed information.
Jessica Allison began working with the Tennessee High School band program in the fall of 2014. As an instructor, Ms. Allison specializes in woodwinds, with a primary emphasis in double reeds.  Along with teaching private lessons, Jessica performs with the Johnson City Symphony Orchestra on oboe and English horn, and performs regularly throughout the tri-cities area.  As an oboist, she has studied with Dr.Heather Killmeyer, Dr. Aryn Sweeney, and Jessica Warner. Along with attending master classes and performance workshops, she has also had the opportunity to have private instruction from Elizabeth Koch, principle oboist of the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra.  Jessica continues to pursue orchestral experience and performance opportunities, and plans to attend graduate school.
