Mighty Viking Band

There is a long tradition of excellence both on the marching field and on stage at Tennessee High School. Its band program boasts a wide array of ensembles to give each student a choice of ensembles/bands in which to perform. These ensembles are often asked to perform for sporting events, school system dinners/ceremonies, the Bristol-sponsored Virginia Duff Fine Arts Festival, and various East Tennessee Band and Orchestra Association events.

The active concert ensembles at Tennessee High School are as follows: the Wind Ensemble (or Symphonic Band), jazz ensemble, percussion ensemble(s), saxophone quartet(s), clarinet quartet, woodwind quintet, brass quintet, trumpet choir(s), low brass choir, and various other smaller ensembles. 

Every April, the THS band program hosts a Solo & Ensemble Concert to highlight each of these ensembles and to show off the talent of its individual students.
